This section provides information about tying saltwater flies for striped bass fishing.
Tying flies is fun. There is nothing as exciting as catching a striped bass on a fly you tied yourself.
One of the best ways to learn saltwater fly tying, or to increase your proficiency
in fly tying,
is to join a saltwater fly fishing club. Some of these clubs provide
fly-tying lessons as part of, or in addition to, their monthly
meetings. Some even provide online videos showing step-by-step procedures for tying particular fly patterns.
Two good clubs in the New Jersey area are:
South Jersey Coastal Fly Anglers

Atlantic Saltwater Flyrodders

There are many other fine clubs along the "striper migration route." "Find one and join!"
